Pro Tools 201 covers the skills required to competently operate a Pro Tools HD system in a professional studio environment.
Topics include:
- Identifying and configuring Pro Tools HD cards and interfaces
- Customizing and Optimizing I/Os and system usage for HD
- DigiBase browsers including Catalogs and Relinking
- Advanced selection and nudging techniques
- Advanced editing techniques
- Advanced automation techniques including plug-in automation
- Using sends and auxiliary inputs to create submixes
- Delay Compensation usage and techniques
- Performing a final mixdown and exporting audio
Pro Tools 201 also includes the 201: Worksurfaces Guide, a companion book that offers instruction on the usage of ProControl, Control|24, D-Command, and D-Control worksurfaces for Pro Tools.
Upon successful completion of Pro Tools 201 coursework, students can continue on to the 210 level courses. 210M focuses on Advanced Music Production techniques; 210P focuses on Advanced Post Production techniques. Once the 210 level courseware is completed, students are then
eligible
to take the Operator Certification exam.
